Wow, this looks absolutely incredible. And the actors, I love these people. How FREAKIN' excited am I to see Saoirse in this role...and I love Peter Jackson forever.
man, i read that book years ago...the movie is a little quirky looking, but i'm sure marky mark will make up for that. i'm excited to see this one...didn't even know there was a movie!!!
I'll bet it was a real challenge to put this book into a movie. It looks like it was done well - just what we've come to expect from Peter Jackson. I'll also be anxious to see it when it comes to the theaters. A friend had told me the book was comforting because the girl communicates with her loved ones until justice is served. I found it a little haunting myself.
My goal for this blog is to watch 1 movie a day every day for the length of my unemployment :) Every week I am allowed to watch a movie I've already seen but all others need to be new. I'm hoping to hit up all different kinds of movies and please feel free to leave suggestions! I really want to open up my range by including westerns, action, drama, comedy, old, new, you name it. Believe it or not, this idea was inspired by the trailer for Julie, Julia - the story of Julie Powell's challenge to do all of Julia Child's 524 recipes in 365 days. I thought, well, what do I love? Movies! The challenge began!
Yes, I read this a few years ago. But to be honest I don't really remember much about it. Interested to see the movie though....
